Summary
I live quite close to Radford – at the “wrong” end of Rothesay Ave. I use Ilkeston Rd (which is basically the dividing line between Radford and Lenton) quite a lot as a route to town, although usually only in groups when we’re going at night. Going further into Radford than that never feels safe, but at the same time, nothing’s ever happened to me.

The main difference is natives vs students – Radford has a lot less students, a lot more natives and as a result feels a more hostile place. Rents are damn cheap though, but wouldn’t recommend living there. Or going there, unless you’re heading to Aldi/Maplin/that random shopping centre.
